what to watch

not too bad of a monday. i always wake up feeling this sense of dread like "its's monday and i have to go back to work" even though i love my job. every other day though i'm fine.

so, here are some movies you should watch this week if you get a chance...

note: for these movies, you should make time.

rent "the september issue" a documentary about Anna Wintour the editor of american vogue, reminds me of the devil wears prada but better because it's real

go see "the ghostwriter" a thriller about a man who writes memoirs for the former primer minister of the UK. i don't want to give away anything but it is very clever and, as an added bonus, samantha from sex and the city plays in the movie!

dollar theater "the blindside" so not normally my type of movie (i had enough football in high school) but really worth seeing. sandra bullock totally deserved that oscar!

speaking of the oscars...this should be fairly obvious but you must rent the hurt locker. i mean really, it won best picture! but also because i say its good. really good. plus, its a movie both girls and guys can enjoy which is fun.

so, i listen to pandora a lot at work and discovered a song that i already have in my itunes library, "automatic stop" by the strokes.
also, if you don't already love these songs, "the reeling" by passion pit and "1901" by phoenix are longtime favorites.

what's going on

you may wonder where I came up with this title...well, i'll explain. one of my more recent music obsessions is "the xx". they are soothing to listen to and very mellow. check out their music here. anyway, their song "basic space" is a favorite of mine and I thought it might be a good blog title. i had a really hard time coming up with a blog title.

anyway, i made a decision today. i would drive an hour to austin simply to go to my favorite whole foods on lamar (even though we have a whole foods in san antonio). it's so worth it. the san antonio whole foods just doesn't compare-it's much smaller and less extensive. see my beloved whole foods below.

there is just something about being in austin that makes me really happy. i think it's because i have many memories of good music and delicious yummy foods.

other happy moments today-vanilla hazelnut coffee from einstein's bagels, raspberry oat bars (from whole foods of course!)

p.s. not liking spring forward, i hate losing an hour of sleep!
